Important Information for CDL Holders in Pennsylvania Who Are Obtaining a Haz Mat Endorsement

July 19th, 2013

There has been a big change for CDL License Holders in the State of Pennsylvania who want to get their Hazardous Materials endorsement.  The US Patriot Act requires all CDL license holders who are applying for or renewing a CDL with a hazmat endorsement to have their fingerprints taken and complete an FBI Criminal Record Check.  Currently, the PA Department of Transportation conducts the fingerprinting through the PA State Police.

Effective August 12, 2013, PennDOT has turned the fingerprinting process over to Cogent Systems.  Know It All Intelligence Group is an authorized 3M Cogent Fingerprinting location for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).  CDL Holders living in the Bucks County and Philadelphia area will find our location very convenient.  Located minutes from Parx Casino at 1950 Street Road in Bensalem, we have easy access to I-95, Route 1 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike.  Once you register online with Cogent Systems and obtain a Registration ID, you can walk in to our location Monday through Friday from 9am to 4:30pm.  No appointment is necessary and there are no other fees involved besides the Cogent registration fee.
